Ladies of Charity Morgan Hill provides goods and services to those in our local and global communities. We serve with simplicity, humility and charity.
Prayer for those suffering from illness or maladies for family and friends in our community are an ever present activity for our Ladies of Charity. We visit the sick and and assist in after school programs.
As part of the ongoing work we do, we provide monthly support to two local organizations that help the less fortunate.
The Learning and Loving Education Center is a non-denominational women-focused nonprofit organization, partially sponsored by the Sisters of the Presentation that provides education, outreach, and resources to low-income immigrant women and their children. Founded in 1994, the Learning and Loving Education Center was established to teach skills, foster hope, and provide direction to marginalized immigrant students who are limited by illiteracy, poverty, and lack of access to educational opportunities and services to improve their lives and the lives of their families. The programs teach skills that assist under-served populations in overcoming the multiple barriers to education, literacy, employment and self-reliance.
Gilroy Compassion Center provides services for homeless residents of South Santa Clara County in a manner that is safe, respectful, responsible, and community-based. It operates a One-Stop center for the homeless that provides basic needs services, such as bathrooms, clean clothes, personal care items, telephone and message center, and daytime respite from the streets, in a warm and welcoming environment.
Their goal is to develop year-round shelter with opportunities for education and employment training, and partnerships among service providers with linkages to medical care, mental health care, drug and alcohol treatment, education, and job training.
Donations can be made directly to these very important organizations.
